Sustainable Horizons 42 The University took another major step toward embedding sustainable practices into every aspect of campus life with the establishment of the Sustainability/Net-Zero Office, further strengthening its standing as a local and global sustainability leader EXPANDING NEXT-LEVEL OPERATIONS AND PERFORMANCE Progress continued on the University’s 2028 Sustainability Challenge action plan, building on the waste and energy focus of its earlier five-year sustainability plan while extending the areas covered to include water, landscape and biodiversity, and well- being.  Waste In 2021-22, the University set out to robustly manage and reduce wastes through creating smart recycling facilities on campus.
