Joining hands with Asia Sports Tech, an Asia-based consulting firm co-founded by our alumnus, the University hosted the “Futureproofing Sports in Asia” summit in March 2023. Faculty members joined investors and start-up founders in sparking insightful dialogues on sports tech, finance, social participation, ESG, and sports evolution in the GBA. To help Hong Kong play a more active role in the country’s aerospace explorations, we convened a Space Technology Advancement and Remote Sensing Symposium in June. As a thought leadership platform, it brought together experts from Hong Kong and the Mainland across government, aerospace enterprises, and academia to address current challenges and opportunities in the field, such as talent development and international collaborations. International Connectivity Partnerships Widen Reach and Knowledge In 2022-23, HKUST established 27 fresh partnerships and renewed 33 existing ones with non-local universities and institutions. This took our global partnership count to 315, spanning academic exchanges and research collaborations in the Mainland, Asia, Europe, and the US.
