HKUST Annual Report 2024-2025

3 2025 has been a landmark year for HKUST, celebrated through major milestones that reaffirm our excellence in education, research and knowledge transfer. Our continued ascent is made possible by the steadfast support of the Central People’s Government, the HKSAR Government, and the wider community. We are honored to be entrusted with significant missions, including the establishment of Hong Kong’s third medical school and a new State Key Laboratory, as well as leading an international lunar robotics collaboration for the Chang’E-8 lunar mission. These achievements would not have been possible without the foundational vision of our late Founding President, Prof. Chia-Wei WOO, whose pioneering spirit laid the groundwork for the University’s rapid rise to the ranks of the world’s top universities.
